Discover Theodore Roosevelt Island

Nature in the City  🌿 My today's recommendation is to visit Theodore Roosevelt Island — a peaceful spot right in the middle of the Potomac River. This hidden gem offers beautiful walking trails, scenic views, and a unique memorial dedicated to the 26th U.S. president. Why Visit? It’s a perfect escape from the city’s noise, where you can enjoy nature, wildlife, and take in the calm atmosphere. If you go for a relaxing walk, a bit of light hiking, or simply to enjoy the view of the river, it’s a great place to recharge.  See some of my photos from May 2025. How to Get There It's free, and you can get there by Metro.  When I went, I got off  at Rosslyn Station. More Information Check out the National Park Service Website ->  Theodore Roosevelt Island 🌸

The Exorcist Steps in Georgetown

A Famous Movie Spot in Washington, D.C. If you live or visit Washington, D.C., don’t miss the Exorcist Steps in Georgetown. These steep stairs became famous because of the scary movie The Exorcist (1973). The steps are located between Prospect Street and 36th Street NW. You can get there by taking the Metro to Foggy Bottom Station and then walking or taking a short bus ride. In the movie, the character Father Karras falls down these stairs during a very tense scene, as you can see above. Today, many visitors come to see the steps, take photos, and experience the spooky movie atmosphere. See some pictures below from 2021. Some people say the steps are haunted, which makes the visit even more exciting! If you like movies or want to see a unique place in D.C., the Exorcist Steps are a great choice.  Take a walk on these steps — movie vibes and fun to remember! "What an excellent day for an exorcism" 😲
