Discover Theodore Roosevelt Island

Nature in the City ๐ŸŒฟ

My today's recommendation is to visit Theodore Roosevelt Island — a peaceful spot right in the middle of the Potomac River. This hidden gem offers beautiful walking trails, scenic views, and a unique memorial dedicated to the 26th U.S. president.

Why Visit?
It’s a perfect escape from the city’s noise, where you can enjoy nature, wildlife, and take in the calm atmosphere. If you go for a relaxing walk, a bit of light hiking, or simply to enjoy the view of the river, it’s a great place to recharge.  See some of my photos from May 2025.

How to Get There
It's free, and you can get there by Metro. When I went, I got off  at Rosslyn Station.
